Hi, I’m Gina Romo, LPCC.
I know firsthand the courage it takes to reach out for help and so I'm glad you made it here. For many of us, we don't reach out until it feels like there are no other options, and taking that leap can feel intimidating and scary. With that in mind, I take a patient, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach that relies on collaboration between us. I’m here as a support and guide to help you make your own meaning out of life’s challenges through reflection, intentionality, mindfulness, self-compassion, skill building, and self-awareness.
Factors that I consider in our work together include various systems you are a part of, trauma dynamics, relationships, spirituality, cultural impacts, values, and health. We are all unique individuals, and I find it important to view everyone as such. I also take an integrative approach and may utilize somatic, parts work, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) type interventions. I believe we all have an inner strength, resiliency, and desire to grow, and I will help to support you in discovering that during our work together.
I’ve been working in the mental health field since 2017 working with a wide array of people and presenting concerns. I have extensive experience providing neurofeedback treatment to those struggling with symptoms of PTSD and C-PTSD (complex-PTSD) and working with top consultants in the field on interpreting and integrating QEEG (brain map) information into client’s treatment in neurofeedback and therapy. I’m very passionate about working with those who struggle with feeling truly connected to who they are due to ADHD, chronic anxiety and depression, trauma, and so on. Helping you to discover your genuine, authentic self so you thrive is the cornerstone of my approach.
In my free time, I enjoy baking, reading, watching movies, and enjoying the Colorado sunshine. My fiancé and I also love to spend time with (and majorly spoil) our two bunnies and mini poodle!
